MANLY WARRINGAH MASTER BUILDERS CLUB LTD PRIVACY POLICY

Manly Warringah Master Builders Club Ltd (The Builders Club) is subject to the provisions of the Privacy Act 1988 and the subsequent Privacy Amendment (Enhancing Privacy Protection) Act 2012. The Act outlines 13 Australian Privacy Principles that the Club must adhere to for the protection of personal information of members, visitors and staff.


To consider any application made to The Builders Club, under the Corporations and Registered Clubs Act it may be necessary for the Club to collect and display personal information such as name and address. If you are unable to produce this information or consent to its display, the Club may be unable to accept your application.


Your personal information, including information about you obtained as a result of you placing your membership card in a gaming or other club machine (not ATMs), may be used by the Club for marketing purposes to improve our services and to provide you with the latest information about those services and any new related services and promotions.


The Builders Club may disclose this information to third parties when it contracts this party to perform services. These contracts entered into by the Club stipulate that the information that is provided be protected and not disclosed to any other party.


The Builders Club does not disclose any other personal information unless it is legally required to do so under current State and Federal legislation. The Club may disclose personal information to relevant authorities if it reasonably believes that there is a threat to an individual’s life, health and safety, or public health or safety. If the Club has reason to suspect that unlawful activity has been, is being, or may be engaged in, personal information may be used or disclosed as a necessary part of any investigation and reporting to relevant persons or authorities.


Information collected via the scanning of a valid form of Australian Identification is protected by the Club and is not disclosed to any other party unless there is a legal requirement to do so. This information may be collated and used for marketing purposes. If you do not wish to receive information about services and promotions, the Club, on request, will remove your name from mailing lists.


You have a right to access any personal information that the Club may hold about you, including a right of correction of your information. If amendment of your personal information is required please contact the Club’s Reception. The Club will generally not charge a fee for you to access or amend your personal information.
